Farnborough
Under 7's
During the rugby
season starting Sun 29th August 2010, the Under 7s meet
at FRFC on Sunday mornings from 10am through until 12pm
for coaching (we meet on the field behind the clubhouse
at the far end of the first team pitch). Some weeks we visit
other local clubs for joint training and at regular intervals
we enter a team into local tournaments; details of our fixtures
for the season can be found on this website too. So please
ring or email and check before coming down.
All are welcome throughout the season!
What
is Tag Rugby ?
Tag rugby is a fast-moving, non-contact game suitable for
boys and girls to play together. Its safe, non-contact nature,
combined with the fun and vibrance of the sport, has meant
that mini tag is now the RFU's official version of rugby
for under-7s and under-8s.

If you are interested in becoming a coach, please contact
Matt Lovesy for an informal chat about the U7s style of
coaching and what we are looking for in a coach.
We have a thriving squad of around 22 players this season
of both boys and girls. We always welcome additional recruits
from children in Years R, 1 & 2, so feel free either
to print out this web page and pass on to friends or simply
email your details to the U7 Manager.
Our main focus is on the children having fun, enjoying
ourselves and learning basic rugby skills through tag rugby,
the RFU's agreed modified version of the game for this age
group.
We are a club run entirely by volunteers so we would welcome
help and support from parents in any capacity.
